Working as croupier….

There is another big reason why a good croupier is so important. In many cases, if the croupier likes you, they will give you subtle hints as to what’s going on. This doesn’t happen on every hand. Actually, it only happens once in a while, but it can still help. For instance, a good croupier will ask if you want insurance very slowly and maybe even ask twice when he knows he’s holding blackjack. A good croupier will also help you out when you’re not sure what to do. He will know the odds for every situation in the book. Remember, in some cases, a croupier wants you to win so he can receive a tip.

Most casinos have a reputation for either having good croupiers or bad ones. An attitude – good or bad – is established from the top and trickles its way down through all the employees. A casino with good croupiers is often an indication of a professionally run operation.
